Regency Wood Stove Door Gasket Kit – 7 Ft 7/8" Rope Gasket & Cement

from $42.32
Gasket Kit:

Restore your stove’s seal and performance with the Regency Wood Stove Door Gasket Kit, designed to deliver a tight, reliable fit where it matters most. This kit includes 7 feet of premium 7/8" round fiberglass rope gasket, infused with black graphite for added durability, flexibility, and heat resistance.

Built to handle extreme conditions, the gasket maintains its shape and seal even under abrasive use and temperatures up to 1000°F. The flexible fiberglass construction makes installation easy, allowing the gasket to conform smoothly around curved door channels without fraying or unraveling. Once installed, it restores an airtight seal that improves combustion efficiency and helps prevent unwanted air leaks.

This non-asbestos gasket is environmentally friendly, moisture-resistant, and mildew-resistant, ensuring long-term reliability. Each kit includes your choice of clear gasket adhesive or stove gasket cement for secure bonding to most stove materials.

Installation Prep & Application

  • Preparation: Remove the old gasket completely and clean the channel thoroughly.

  • Application: Apply stove gasket cement evenly in the channel, press the new gasket into place, and allow it to cure according to instructions.
The gasket cement not only secures the rope but also helps seal small cracks or pinholes in the stove body.

IMPORTANT: Do not use high-temperature silicone sealants. These are not suitable for gasket installation or stove repair.

Choosing the Correct Gasket Size

Proper sizing is essential for an effective seal and long-term stove performance.

  • Check your stove manual for the correct replacement gasket size or part number

  • Contact the manufacturer if the manual isn’t available

  • Measure the gasket channel (width and depth) and choose the larger measurement

  • Measure gasket length and select a rope slightly longer than needed—trim for a perfect fit

Common gasket sizes include:
3/16”, 1/4", 5/16”, 3/8”, 7/16”, 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4”, 7/8”, and 1”

Metric note: A 12mm gasket ≈ 1/2 inch
