Why Pyroceram Ceramic Glass?
First, let’s talk strength. Unlike tempered glass, which might panic at a heat surge, this ceramic wonder shrugs off extreme temperature changes (thermal shock). Flames licking the surface? No problem. It’s three times more heat-resistant than tempered glass, making it perfect for wood stoves, pellet stoves, coal inserts, and similar appliances. But fair warning—this is not for your kitchen cooktop.
Measure Twice, Cut Once (And Leave a Little Wiggle Room)
Here’s the secret sauce to getting the perfect fit: measure the inner dimensions of your stove’s door frame and subtract 1/8" from each measurement. Why? Glass expands when it’s heated, and we’d hate for your perfect rectangle to turn into a cracked disaster.
If your old glass is still intact, it’s a great guide, but always double-check against the mounting surface. And remember, over-tightening those screws? That’s a recipe for disaster—hardware expands under heat, too. Leave them snug but not straining.

Precision is key: Provide measurements accurate to within 1/16 inch. We’ll cut to your specs, but once it’s sent to the glass cutter, changes are off the table.
No edge treatments here: This is standard rectangular glass. If you need rounded corners or other fancy cuts, we’ve got options—just let us know.
Stick to approved uses: This glass is not compatible with prefab fireplaces like FMI, Heat-N-Glo, or similar brands unless they’re heater-rated. Misuse could lead to overheating or, worse, a house fire.
