This kit includes a premium 5/8-inch round fiberglass rope gasket, infused with black graphite for added durability and flexibility. It forms a strong, heat-resistant seal that holds up under constant door use and extreme temperatures up to 1000°F. The gasket bends easily around curved door channels, installs cleanly, and won’t unravel or break down over time.
Made from non-asbestos fiberglass, this gasket is environmentally friendly, moisture-resistant, and won’t harbor mildew. It also won’t absorb water, making it a reliable long-term solution for maintaining stove efficiency. Included gasket cement securely bonds the rope to most stove materials while also helping seal small cracks or pinholes in the stove body.
Preparation:
Remove the old gasket, clean the channel thoroughly, and apply the included stove gasket cement.
Application:
Press the new gasket firmly into place and allow the adhesive to cure according to instructions. For best results, always use stove gasket cement or approved gasket adhesive.
Important:
Do not use high-temperature silicone sealants. Silicone is not designed for gasket installation and can cause seal failure.
