This kit includes a 5/8-inch round fiberglass rope gasket, infused with black graphite for added durability and flexibility. It’s built to handle abrasive conditions and extreme heat—rated up to 1000°F—without unraveling or breaking down. The gasket conforms easily to curved door channels and bonds securely to most stove materials, making installation straightforward even around tight corners.
A proper seal means better airflow control, a more efficient burn, and less heat loss. This non-asbestos, environmentally friendly gasket won’t absorb moisture, resists mildew, and holds up season after season. Remove the old gasket completely, clean the gasket channel thoroughly, and apply stove gasket cement before pressing the new rope into place.
