Earth Stove Door Gasket Kit – 6 Ft 1/2" Fiberglass Rope Gasket & Cement

from $26.88
Gasket Kit:

When your Earth Stove starts leaking air, heat efficiency drops fast—and that’s exactly where this gasket kit comes in. I put this kit together to help restore a tight, reliable seal that keeps your stove burning the way it should.

This kit includes 6 feet of 1/2" round fiberglass rope gasket, infused with black graphite for added durability and flexibility. It’s built to handle constant door movement and extreme heat, staying resilient at temperatures up to 1000°F without unraveling, shrinking, or breaking down.

The fiberglass rope easily conforms to curved door channels and bonds securely to most stove materials, making installation straightforward—even around tricky corners. It’s non-asbestos, environmentally friendly, moisture-resistant, and mildew-resistant, so you don’t have to worry about water absorption or deterioration over time.

You’ll also receive gasket cement to properly secure the gasket in place and help seal minor cracks or pinholes in the stove body for a truly airtight fit.

Installation Tips

Prep:
Remove the old gasket completely, clean the channel thoroughly, and make sure the surface is dry before installing the new rope.

Apply:
Use stove gasket cement to adhere the gasket evenly inside the channel. Press firmly and allow proper curing time before firing up your stove.

Important:
Do not use high-temperature silicone sealants. They are not designed for gasket installation and can cause improper sealing.

Choosing the Right Gasket Size

Getting the correct size is key to performance and safety. Here’s how to be sure:

  • Check your stove manual for the manufacturer’s recommended gasket size or part number

  • Contact the manufacturer if the manual isn’t available

  • Measure the gasket channel (width and depth) and choose the size that fits snugly

  • Measure the rope length and trim excess after installation—extra length is always better than too little

Common gasket sizes range from 3/16” to 1”, with 1/2” being a very popular fit for Earth Stove models. If you’re measuring in millimeters, keep in mind that 12mm is roughly equivalent to 1/2 inch.

Still unsure? I’ve got you covered—use our free printable gasket measuring template to confidently find the perfect fit.

A properly sealed stove burns cleaner, hotter, and more efficiently—and this kit makes getting there simple.
