• Clean the channel thoroughly to remove debris and residue
Use a wood stove gasket cement or stove gasket adhesive to secure the new gasket in place. When using gasket cement, it does double duty—acting as both the adhesive and a sealant for minor cracks or pinholes in the stove body.
Important: High-temperature silicone sealants are not recommended for gasket installation or stove repairs. They don’t hold up under real stove conditions and can compromise the seal.
