48" Bypass Mesh Curtain Rod — USA Made
There’s something wonderfully classic about a wood-burning fireplace, but nothing classic about a spark that tries to leap onto your floor. That’s why a solid bypass mesh curtain rod is non-negotiable. This 48" steel rod gives your mesh panels a smooth, centered glide and keeps sparks right where they belong — in the firebox, not on your favorite rug. ✨🔥
A bypass rod is one continuous piece of steel that installs across the top of your opening. The magic happens in the middle: a small “roundabout” where your mesh panels overlap and slide past each other without catching. Simple, sturdy, and dependable — like every good fireplace component should be.
You can field-cut this rod with a hacksaw if needed (3/16" steel plays nicely with a metal blade), but only if you’re comfortable using tools. Otherwise, let someone with experience trim it to size. Nova has seen what happens when I get overconfident with power tools, and we don't need a repeat of that situation. 🐾
Important Notes
Choose the right length! The rod must be at least 1" wider than your fireplace opening so the ends sit securely inside your firebox.
Mesh curtain not included. (But I do have plenty available — see link above.)
Self-tapping screws are not included, but you’ll need them for installation.
This rod is USA Made — sturdy, reliable, built to last.
